Field power bank, 12/24 V
NVS PowerBank
There is often no socket near the meter cabinet. The field power bank feeds a Bluetooth or USB converter so reading does not stall while someone hunts for power — no extension leads, no lost measurement day.

What it does
Reading does not wait for a socket
When there is no outlet in the basement, the shelter or beside the panel, the reading still happens.
No cable between floors
Running cable between floors costs time and creates a safety risk; the power bank removes both.
Works before power is live
In new buildings where power is not yet live, the line can still be tested — problems surface before handover.
Suited to
- Field reading with a Bluetooth or USB converter
- Basements and shelters with no socket
- Line testing in buildings before handover
Not suited to
- Permanently installed gateways — these need fixed power
- Charging phones and laptops
Questions
How long does one charge last?
It depends on the connected device and the line load. It is sized for a typical field day; for heavy use a spare unit is recommended.
Can I charge my phone from it?
The unit's job is powering the converter. Carrying a separate battery for the phone is safer — you do not want power running out mid-reading.
Is it allowed on a plane?
It contains a lithium-ion cell, so airline rules on carrying batteries apply. Check the limits of the airline you fly before travelling with it.
