Bluetooth M-Bus level converter
NVS Converter BT
Connect it to the M-Bus line in the basement and read from the phone in your hand. No laptop to carry, no surface to balance one on. The reading lands in the NovuSoft field app and syncs to the panel as soon as the phone has a connection.

What it does
Read without a laptop
The technician works one-handed. The converter stays on the line, the reading runs from the phone.
Readings enter the system directly
Values are not typed in; the app takes the telegram as it is. Manual entry error disappears.
Practical in tight spaces
Standing in front of the meter cabinet is enough — no need to find room for a laptop in a cramped basement.
Driven by task lists
Reading tasks assigned from the office appear on the phone, and a photo can be required for meters that cannot be read.
Suited to
- Periodic reading in buildings with no gateway
- Re-reading unread meters on site
- Quick verification during commissioning
- Tight spaces where carrying a laptop is impractical
Not suited to
- Continuous remote reading — a Wi-Fi or cellular gateway is required
- Scenarios where no technician enters the building
- Heavily loaded lines; capacity is 3 standard unit loads
Questions
Does it work without internet on the phone?
Yes. The reading is stored on the phone and uploads to the panel by itself once the device has a connection. No signal in the basement does not stop the work.
Can it be used with an iPhone?
The field app is published on Android today. When the iOS version ships, the same converter continues to be used.
Can the converter stay in the building permanently?
It can. With power fixed in place there is no need to rewire on every visit — the technician just pairs and reads.
